Can-Am Introduces New Utility Vehicles at Farm Progress Show

If you’re heading to the Farm Progress Show, which is going on now in Decatur, Illinois, you can find Can-Am at the corner of 11th and West Progress Avenue. Once you’re there, take a look at the new 2026 Defender HD11.
Simon Cazelais, Vice President of Marketing for Can-Am, tells Hoosier Ag Today that this is the best Defender yet.
“It has a new engine and a new chassis to bring more performance for the heavy tasks and the heavy loads,” he says. “There are also reduced maintenance requirements on this new platform.”
One of the most important things that farmers were telling us is they want more silence in the cabin. If you drive this, you can talk to your neighbor. It’s super quiet,” he says.
Why would farmers need one of these utility vehicles on their farms?
“Farmers, depending on the size of their operation, have their big machinery, but they also need the Defender to move around their property with their tools on a smaller piece of equipment. They also need to move people around, so they need that Defender for that purpose. Also, let’s be honest, this is also a fun machine to ride, so they can use it during the weekend too. So, it’s for work it’s built for work, it’s the most durable platform out there, but it’s also a fun product to ride,” says
Cazelais adds that Can-Am has also launched the 2026 Outlander Electric.
“It’s the first mass-produced electric ATV out there,” he says. “We also launched our 6×6, which is also super useful for farmers.
