Scarlett Johansson & Adam Driver Fighting In ‘Marriage Story’ Used By USDA To Scare Off Wolves
Audio of Scarlett Johansson and Adam Driver’s intense fight scene from the film Marriage Story is being utilized by the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) to deter wolves from attacking livestock on farms across America. The USDA is employing drones equipped with thermal cameras and loudspeakers to scare off wolves. One of the audio recordings used is the emotionally charged argument between Johansson and Driver’s characters in the acclaimed 2019 drama. A USDA district supervisor in Oregon explained that the goal is to make the wolves “respond and know that, hey, humans are bad.” This “wolf hazing” technique, which also incorporates loud music like AC/DC’s “Thunderstruck,” has proven effective. After drones were deployed in Oregon following a series of cow killings, the number of livestock deaths decreased significantly over the following months. (Variety)
