Lanes, ramps to close during I-65 bridge inspection next week
You could see traffic tieups next week around the Interstate 65 bridge over Jonathan Moore Pike or State Road 46 as crews inspect the bridge there.
According to INDOT, the inspection work will begin Tuesday at the intersection over State Road 46 /Jonathan Moore Pike and the work is likely to take up to three days. The work schedule is dependent on the weather.
The work will requiring closing lanes and ramps leading under the bridge. That will mean closing the northbound on-ramp from eastbound State Road 46 and the southbound Interstate 65 on ramp from westbound State Road 46. You will also see the northbound off-ramp to westbound State Road 46 and the southbound off-ramp to eastbound 46 closing during the work. All the turn lanes from westbound and eastbound 46 will also be closed.
There will also be lane closures on State Road 46 during the work. Westbound and eastbound State Road 46 will be reduced to two lanes through the area.
