Schneck executive chosen for national hospital board

The president and CEO of Schneck Medical Center in Seymour has been chosen to serve on the board of trustees for the American Hospital Association.
According to the hospital, Dr. Eric Fish has been chosen to fill a vacant seat on the board, effective immediately with a term ending at the end of 2026. The American Hospital Association is a not-for-profit association of health care provider organizations and individuals that are committed to the health improvement of their communities. It has nearly 5,000 hospitals as members.
Fish serves on the AHA’s Regional Policy Board 5 and has held numerous leadership roles with the Indiana Hospital Association.
In a statement, Fish said that he is honored to serve on the board an that he is looking forward to working with the group “to help shape policies and strategies that support hospitals, health systems, and the communities we serve.”
Fish has over 19 years of leadership experience at Schneck, where he has served in several capacities, most recently as Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer. He was promoted in September of 2020 to CEO and president of Schneck.
Schneck Medical Center has a network of 24 specialty practices, nearly 200 providers, and more than 1,200 team members.
