Columbus City Utilities receives statewide recognition

Columbus City Utilities was recognized with several awards at the Indiana Water Environment Association’s Annual Conference in Indianapolis last month.

According to the city utility, the Columbus City Utilities Quality Control Lab received the association’s Laboratory Excellence Award. The lab scored a 99.8% during the audit conducted earlier this year.

The city wastewater treatment plant received the association’s Excellence in Safety Award. Columbus City Utilities wastewater plant scored 100% on its safety audit.

Columbus City Utilities also received this year’s Operation and Maintenance award. The award recognizes facilities that have zero violations of the facilities National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System permit.
