Government offices closed Monday including Bartholomew County landfill, recycling center

A reminder that local government offices will be closed on Monday due to the Labor Day holiday. Trash and recycling routes in Columbus will be running a day behind next week with normal Friday collections on Saturday. In Seymour normal Monday collections will be picked up on Tuesday.

All Bartholomew County Solid Waste Management District facilities will be closed on Monday. That includes the offices, Columbus and Bartholomew County recycling center, the Bartholomew County landfill and the commercial cardboard program.

Columbus City Utilities offices will also be closed. If you have a problem with your water or sewer service you can call 812-372-8861.
