Two arrested after Columbus gas station robbery

Two Indianapolis men are in custody, accused of robbing a Columbus store of more than $600 in vape cartridges and other merchandise.

According to the Columbus Police Department, the incident happened at just before 2 a.m. Monday in the 3600 block of Jonathan Moore Pike. While one man held the door of the gas station, another masked man entered, broke the glass on a display case near the front counter and took the merchandise before they ran away.

City police and Bartholomew County deputies began searching the area and a deputy found two men matching the description behind a dumpster at a nearby hotel. Police also found evidence at the scene indicating that they were the suspects.

21-year-old Roger Fisher, and 23-year-old Patrick Halstead both of Indianapolis, were arrested on preliminary felony charges of robbery.
