Bull Dogs Blank Franklin
Defense wins matches, and the Columbus North girls soccer team leaned on its back line to notch a 2–0 shutout at Franklin on Monday.
The Bull Dogs (2-1) struck twice in the first half. Avery Baker converted off an assist from Allison Kolhouse, and later Lexi Roukas doubled the lead off a feed from Riley Sims. North peppered Franklin with 21 shots to just four for the Grizzly Cubs. Goalkeepers Danika Hoehn and Gabby Revell split halves and each notched two saves.
With ball control, balanced scoring, and defensive discipline, the Bull Dogs are starting to look like a team ready to make a deep run.
