Jackson County kicking off dementia-friendly initiative

Jackson County will have a kick-off event next week as the community works toward becoming dementia friendly.

The event will include resources for the community and information presented by the Alzheimer’s Association, Dementia Friendly Indiana and others working toward the goal. The keynote speaker will be Natali Edmonds, who is the founder of Dementia Careblazers.

The kick-off event will be from 1:30 to 5 p.m. Tuesday at Pewter Hall and Event Center in Brownstown. The event is being sponsored by IU Health.
