Bull Dogs Battled, but Trojans Storm Ahead

At the BCSC Soccer Complex, Columbus North’s girls soccer team opened their season against a powerhouse: Class 3A No. 9 Center Grove. For the first 20 minutes, the Bull Dogs showed plenty of bite, nearly scoring when Avery Baker’s rocket was tipped onto the crossbar.
But the Trojans flexed their muscle, scoring twice in quick succession, then adding second-half strikes to secure a 4-0 victory. North’s defense held strong at times, with Emerson Chambers even making a save off the line, but Center Grove’s pressure proved too much.
For the Bull Dogs, this was more than just a test—it was a measuring stick. They showed flashes of grit, and with the season just underway, there’s no doubt they’ll be ready to unleash their bite again Thursday against Seymour.
