Restrictions to start on State Road 135 near Freetown

State Road 135 in Jackson County will be closed down to one lane starting today as crews work to repair a slide there.

According to INDOT, the work near Freetown will start today with temporary traffic signals put in place on State Road 135 just south of the State Road 58 junction. That will reduce the highway to a single 10 foot lane and motorists will not be able to use the southbound lane while the work is going on.

The work schedule is dependent on the weather.
