North Vernon Couple Arrested for Drug Dealing

A North Vernon Couple has been arrested for drug dealing .

On Thursday August 14th, officers with the North Vernon Police Department executed a search warrant at 271 W. Hayden Pike as part of an ongoing Task Force–led drug investigation.

During the search, investigators located over 40 grams of methamphetamine, marijuana, and additional items associated with narcotics distribution.

Two individuals who lived at the residence, identified as Karren Brooks and Robert Brooks, both of North Vernon, were taken into custody without incident.

Both were charged with possession of meth and marijuana and neglect of a dependent.

Karren Brooks was also charged with Dealing Meth, a level 2 felony.

The North Vernon Police Department would like to thank the Jennings County Sheriff’s Office, the Department of Child Services, and Animal Control for their assistance during this operation.
