Colts Camp Shines Under the Lights as Richardson, Jones Dazzle in Quarterback Clash

The Indianapolis Colts hosted their first-ever night practice at Grand Park Thursday, and the action on the field proved just as dazzling as the post-practice fireworks. Quarterbacks Anthony Richardson Sr. and Daniel Jones lit up the skies with big plays as the QB battle for Week 1 continued to heat up.
Richardson looked every bit the dual-threat dynamo, dropping a 30-yard dime to Ashton Dulin and following it up with a deep strike to Adonai Mitchell. Jones kept pace with sharp timing throws, including a highlight sideline pass that showcased his poise and placement.
First-round pick Tyler Warren made what may be the catch of camp—an acrobatic one-handed grab over linebacker Jaylon Carlies. Adonai Mitchell was a showstopper all night, showing his chemistry with both quarterbacks and making defenders miss across the field.
While the offense stole the spotlight, the defense dealt with some injury setbacks. Jaylon Jones and JuJu Brents were sidelined with hamstring issues, and star DT DeForest Buckner sat out with a foot injury.
Fans packed the bleachers for the special primetime session, part of a full weekend of Colts Camp festivities. Saturday’s Salute to Service Day will honor military members with a Howitzer cannon, a Blackhawk helicopter landing, and player meet-and-greets. Sunday will feature another practice and more giveaways.
As we turn the page into August, the Colts look loaded with young talent and hungry to return to playoff contention. The quarterback question may not yet be answered—but Colts Nation is already feeling the spark of something special brewing in Westfield.
