Another day of sweltering heat in forecast; Cooler temps coming
Forecasters say that it is going to be dangerously hot again today.
According to the National Weather Service in Indianapolis, the real temperature is going to be in the low 90s but the humidity is going to make that feel like it is up to 105 during the hottest part of the day.
A heat advisory remains in effect for our area until 8 p.m. tonight.
If you have to be outside, officials urge you to take steps to avoid heat exhaustion and heatstroke. Forecasters recommend that you drink plenty of fluids, spend time in an air-conditioned room or a pool, stay out of the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors.
Relief from the heat is expected tomorrow with a cold front moving into the area on Wednesday. Highs in the upper 70s are expected by Friday.
