Moonlight Loop bike ride reschedule for August
Organizers of a night-time bike ride to benefit the Columbus animal shelter have found a new date for their already twice-canceled event.
The Moonlight Loop is organized by the Friends of Columbus Animal Care Services to benefit the PetFix program, which provides low-cost spay/neuter services for pet owners in the Columbus community. This year’s ride has twice been postponed because of bad weather.
Now, they are planning to run the event on Saturday, Aug. 2nd.
According to the group, the ride is a leisurely 19-mile night-time tour through the city with a stop halfway through at the Columbus Learning Center.
Registration is $35 per rider until August 1st, then $40 the day of the event.
The ride will start at the Bartholomew County Public Library plaza at 9 p.m. the evening of Aug. 2nd and end back at the library.
