Silver Creek Storms Back, Sinks North in Final Inning

A dramatic seventh-inning surge from Silver Creek spoiled Columbus North’s hopes of closing the regular season with a win. The Dragons plated three in the bottom of the seventh to walk off with a 9-8 victory over the Bull Dogs.
Miley McClellan led North’s 12-hit effort with a 3-for-4 night, including a triple and two RBIs. Payton Morris launched a solo homer, while Morgan Jarvis and Bailee Scruggs each went 2-for-4. Lily Retz added a double and drove in two.
The Bull Dogs head into sectionals at 13-11 and will face Columbus East next.
