Reds Stumble Again as Braves Walk It Off in Extras

The Cincinnati Reds were on the cusp of snapping their losing streak but fell 2-1 in extra innings to the Atlanta Braves Tuesday night. The game was a pitcher’s duel until Santiago Espinal drove in Elly De La Cruz in the eighth inning to give the Reds a 1-0 lead.
Andrew Abbott tossed five scoreless innings, striking out eight in a dominant outing. But the bullpen faltered late. After Michael Harris tied the game with a clutch double in the ninth, Marcell Ozuna ended it with a walk-off single in the 10th.
The Reds have now dropped four straight and are looking to bounce back behind Hunter Greene on Wednesday night.
