Floyd Central Surges Late, Downs Bull Dogs 15-3

Columbus North softball kept it close for six innings before a late avalanche of runs sealed their fate in a 15-3 loss to Class 4A No. 7 Floyd Central.
The Highlanders scored five unearned runs early thanks to defensive miscues but truly pulled away with an eight-run seventh. The Bull Dogs rallied in the sixth with a two-run triple from Miley McClellan, who went 3-for-3 with two RBIs, a double, and a triple.
