Month of May Kicks Off at IMS with Excitement Building
Rookie driver Jacob Abel and IMS President Doug Boles helped kick off the 500 Festival on Monument Circle, signaling the official countdown to the Indianapolis 500 Presented by Gainbridge.
Abel, competing in his first Indy 500 with Dale Coyne Racing, shared his excitement and his journey from fan to driver. As festivities begin, fans can look forward to the Sonsio Grand Prix, Carb Day, Legends Day, and more.
IMS teased additional announcements coming soon, including the grand marshal and National Anthem performer. With just 24 days to race day, grandstand seats are nearly sold out, and ticket prices have now increased with the turn of the calendar to May.
The Sonsio Grand Prix will air on 1010 WCSI and 98.1 FM on May 10th, and the 109th running of the Indianapolis 500 Presented by Gainbridge, will air on 1010 WCSI and 98.1 FM on May 25th. Stay tuned for daily race and IMS updates throughout the month of May.
