Finally on the Board: East Tennis Ends Long Win Drought

It’s been a long time coming, but the Columbus East girls tennis team finally celebrated a team victory for the first time since 2023 with a thrilling 3-2 win over Edinburgh.
Lauren Degner and Bruna Carreira were locked in, sweeping their singles matches without dropping a game. But the heroics came at No. 1 doubles, where Saya Hauser and Zoe White rallied from a set down to win in three sets, completing the long-awaited team triumph.
The Olympians are now 1-7 and looking to ride the wave of momentum into their upcoming matchups. For a team that’s shown heart through a tough rebuild, this victory was pure gold.
