North Softball Falls in Season Opener
The Columbus North softball team opened its season with a narrow 4-3 road loss to Living Water Homeschool on Monday. The Bull Dogs jumped out to an early 3-0 lead in the top of the first, but the Marlins chipped away with single runs in the first, third, fourth, and seventh innings.
Summer Williams and Payton Morris each went 2-for-3 at the plate, with Williams notching a double. Morgan Jarvis and Lily Retz also added doubles. Bailee Scruggs and Morris combined for six strikeouts and nine walks in the circle while holding the Marlins to six hits.
