IMS Museum Set to Reopen April 2 with Expanded Space and New Experiences
The Indianapolis Motor Speedway Museum will officially reopen to the public on Wednesday, April 2, following an extensive transformation project that began in late 2023. The reimagined museum offers visitors full access to an additional 40,000 square feet of exhibit space—including a newly unveiled mezzanine and lower level previously available only on special tours.
Highlights include the immersive Qualifying Zone and brand-new exhibits featuring iconic IndyCar artifacts never before seen by the public.
New general admission pricing begins at $25 for adults, with discounts for seniors, veterans, and youth. Children five and under remain free. The museum also launched a new membership structure, including affordable options for families and educators.
In addition to year-round admission, the museum offers special programs such as free community days, the Access Pass, Blue Star Program for active military, and Bank of America’s Museums On Us partnership.
