Haliburton and the Pacers Light Up Washington in Record-Breaking Blowout
One night after a buzzer-beating loss to the Lakers, the Indiana Pacers came out swinging—and scoring. The Blue and Gold put on a show in the nation’s capital, torching the Wizards 162-109 to set a franchise record for points in a single game.
Tyrese Haliburton led the fireworks with 29 points and added 11 assists. Myles Turner added 17 points, and Bennedict Mathurin contributed 16. In all, nine Pacers scored in double figures as Indiana drained 27 three-pointers and dished out 48 assists on 59 made field goals.
The 53-point win was the largest in Pacers franchise history. Indiana held a 22-point halftime lead (83-61), pushed it to 125-88 after three quarters, and cruised the rest of the way. After the heartbreak against the Lakers, the Pacers quickly got back on the right track to stay near the top of the Eastern Conference standings.
