Open house set for Saturday at Columbus airport museum
The Atterbury-Bakalar Air Museum at the Columbus Municipal Airport will be hosting an open house Saturday including tours of the C-119 Cargo plane.
The “Charlie” cargo plane has been restored and represents the flying boxcars that were stationed at the Columbus airport from the late 50s until the base closed in 1970.
The museum is at 4742 Ray Boll Boulevard, next door to the airport terminal building.
The event will be from 10 to 1 and admission is free. Donations will be accepted.
