Purdue Boilermakers Overpower USC
The No. 7 Purdue Boilermakers extended their winning streak to four games with a commanding 90-72 victory over USC on Friday night in West Lafayette. Trey Kaufman-Renn led the Boilermakers with a double-double, tallying 24 points and 10 rebounds, while Fletcher Loyer added 14 points.
Purdue dominated the paint, outscoring USC 52-36, and crushed the Trojans on the boards with a 48-31 rebounding edge. Despite some struggles from beyond the arc, the Boilermakers shot an impressive 67% in the first half to build a double-digit lead they never relinquished.
Now at 19-5 overall and 11-2 in the Big Ten, Purdue heads to Ann Arbor on Tuesday for a marquee matchup against No. 24 Michigan.
