Indiana Men’s Basketball Falls to Michigan in Tight Contest
The Indiana Hoosiers men’s basketball team showed resilience but ultimately fell short in a 70-67 loss to No. 24 Michigan on Saturday in Bloomington. The Hoosiers mounted an incredible second-half comeback, erasing an 18-point deficit to tie the game late.
Malik Reneau led the Hoosiers with 16 points and five assists, while Mackenzie Mgbako recorded a double-double with 15 points and 11 rebounds. Indiana’s rally fell short in the closing minutes as Michigan’s Danny Wolf and Tre Donaldson iced the game with clutch free throws and timely scoring.
Indiana now sits at 14-10 overall and 5-8 in the Big Ten, with a critical road test against No. 9 Michigan State looming on Tuesday.
