Hauser Jets Soar Past Southwestern to Secure MHC Championship
The Hauser Jets are flying high as Mid-Hoosier Conference champions, clinching the title in emphatic fashion with an 82-18 blowout win over Southwestern (Shelby).
The Class A No. 4-ranked Jets (14-3, 6-0 MHC) left no doubt, racing out to a 33-4 lead after one quarter before stretching it to 52-5 at halftime. The dominance continued into the second half, with Hauser leading 69-9 by the end of the third.
Five Jets scored in double figures, led by Ledger Gelfius and Collin Buck, who each tallied 14 points. Stryker Gill posted a double-double with 12 points and 12 assists, while Taeshaun Tungate added 12 points and Kam Blair chipped in 11.
Hauser’s unrelenting defense and fast-paced offense have made them a force this season, and they now turn their attention toward the postseason with championship aspirations firmly in sight.
