Boys Basketball: Local Teams Showcase Resilience

Columbus North’s boys basketball team came up clutch, holding off Mooresville for a 70-61 win. Caleb Ferguson led the scoring, while Austin Perry’s flawless free-throw shooting sealed the victory. With four players in double figures, the Bull Dogs showed their depth and composure under pressure.
Hauser rebounded from a midweek loss in style, cruising to a 78-29 win over Shawe Memorial. Collin Buck led the Jets with 18 points, and every varsity player contributed offensively in the dominant performance.
Columbus Christian earned a 53-41 victory over Christian Academy of Madison, thanks to a standout game from Elijah Fields. The Crusaders controlled the pace and came away with a solid conference win.
Columbus East faced a tough weekend, falling to Bloomington South 66-50 and Seymour 57-42. Carter Patterson was a bright spot for the Olympians, scoring 22 points in the first game and 17 in the second. Keaton Lawson added consistent support, but East struggled to find their rhythm.
