Columbus East and Jennings County Make a Splash in the Pool

The Columbus East girls swimming team made waves at the Hoosier Hills Conference meet in Bedford, finishing sixth overall, while Jennings County landed seventh.

Connelly Furnish was the standout for the Olympians, winning the 500 freestyle and taking second in the 200 freestyle. Ainsley Shaw showcased her skills on the board with a fourth-place finish in diving, while Cassidy Furnish added two top-eight finishes in freestyle events. Jennings County’s Harmony Ernstes excelled in diving, securing sixth place.

Both teams displayed strong individual performances, setting the stage for a promising postseason.
