Early voting begins Tuesday in city elections; Registration ends today
Early voting begins tomorrow in Indiana’s municipal primary elections, but there is still time to register to vote.
The deadline to register is today by 5 p.m. to submit your voter registration forms for the May 2nd primaries.
Early voting starts Tuesday in Bartholomew County at Nexus Park, the former Fair Oaks Mall. You can vote from 8 to 5 on weekdays leading up to the primary. There will be no early voting next Friday due to the Good Friday holiday. Early voting expands to Saturday hours from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Nexus Park and at the Governmental Office Building on Third Street downtown on April 22nd and 29th.
Early voting ends at noon on Monday May 1st.
Columbus voters will have a choice in the Republican mayoral primary between former State Rep. Milo Smith and current director of administration for the city of Columbus, Mary Ferdon. On the Democratic side there are three candidates vying for the recently redrawn 3rd District seat on the City Council, incumbent Jerone Wood, Michael Kinder and Tony Hayden.
