Drugs found during traffic stop; driver arrested in downtown Columbus

A traffic stop led to the arrest of a Columbus woman Saturday night on drug charges in Columbus.

Police stopped a vehicle missing a taillight near 11th and Sycamore streets at about 11:10 Saturday night. A police dog alerted to the odor of drugs inside the vehicle and a search revealed marijuana and methamphetamine.

Police arrested the driver, 39-year-old Jennifer L. Jeffries of Columbus on preliminary drug possession charges.
