Coroner’s Office identifies body found in field

The Bartholomew County Coroner’s Office has identified the man whose body was discovered in a corn field Thursday by a farmer. Coroner Clayton Nolting said 39-year-old Danny Ray Green, of Columbus, was discovered around 3:30 p.m. in a field near Indianapolis Road, north of Tellman Road.

Nolting ordered an autopsy, which was performed Friday morning at Columbus Regional Hospital by a forensic pathologist. He explains that findings from the autopsy, including toxicology, should be available to investigators in about two weeks.
