Supermodel Kendall Jenner has made no secret of her anxiety about being in the spotlight. (Several recent episodes of Keeping Up With the Kardashians have been devoted to the subject).
So it was no surprise that Jenner signed on when Vogue asked her to serve as photographer behind-the-scenes at 2018’s Met Gala.
- Jenner went the extra mile and actually used a real film camera, telling the mag she likes “the authenticity of film.”
- She caputred SZA, Cardi B, Katy Perry, Tiffany Haddish, her sister Kim posing with her BFF Bella Hadid during dinner—and her friend and designer date for the evening, Virgil Abloh.
- “It’s so cool to get the opportunity to do this,” Jenner told Vogue. “On any other occasion, these people might have thought I was a weirdo for taking their pictures, but since I had the official pass, I think it’s acceptable.”
- This isn’t her first time behind the camera. She also shot her sister Kylie for the cover of Love last year and took photos of fellow model Kaia Gerber for the mag as well.
