Another big storm is heading towards the Caribbean, which is still reeling from the massive amounts of damage inflicted by Hurricane Irma.
FOX’s Eben Brown has the latest:
Maria’s sustained winds are at a hundred 120-miles-an-hour and many of the same Caribbean Islands that took a beating by Irma will likely get it again from Maria, especially the U.S. Virgin Islands and Puerto Rico, where the governor there has declared state of emergency.

A lawsuit filed in California over DACA.
FOX’s Jessica Rosenthal reports:
They filed suit in federal court here in California, alleging that the way the Trump administration rescinded DACA, violated their due process rights. Their claims mirror lawsuits filed by several states, as well as California’s university system, which aside from due process issues, alleges proper administrative procedure wasn’t followed, and that the move was arbitrary.

Lady Gaga’s people saying she is too sick to continue with her current tour, so she’s taking a break.
FOX’s Jacquelyn Karl has the story:
Lady Gaga’s health problems persist, so she’s postponing the six-week part of the “Joanne World Tour” kicking off in Barcelona on Thursday.
Last week, the singer-songwriter canceled a performance in Brazil because she was hospitalized with “severe physical pain.”
Gaga posting on Instagram Monday she’s been honest about her “physical and mental health struggles” and has been “searching for years to get to the bottom of them.”

One day ahead of his first address to the United Nations General Assembly, President Trump made brief remarks at a meeting on reforming the body.
FOX’s Tonya J. Powers has the story:
President Donald Trump’s remarks this morning started with criticism of the U.N., saying the organization hasn’t reached its full potential and is wracked with mismanagement, urging reforms:
(President Trump) “We encourage the secretary general to fully use his authority to cut through the bureaucracy, reform outdated systems and make firm decisions to advance the UN’s core mission.”

Some Senate Republicans are trying to revive their efforts to repeal and replace the Affordable Care Act.
FOX’s Jared Halpern has more from Capitol Hill:
Momentum is building for a health care overhaul led by Republicans Lindsey Graham and Bill Cassidy, their repeal and replace legislation scraps health care law mandates and provides states with block grants for health care costs.
It’s not clear, however, if the proposal can win support from 50 of 52 GOP Senators. The budget reconciliation tool Republicans are using to prevent a filibuster from Democrats expires at the end of the month.

Some national monuments blocks of federal protected land may be shrinking.
FOX’s Rachel Sutherland reports from Washington:
President Trump claims his predecessor used a 100-year-old law to do a “land grab” and says he wants to shrink the size of some national monuments to give land back to states. A leaked memo shows the Interior Department recommending reducing Bears Ears and Grand Staircase Escalanta in Utah.
At least two dozen other monuments could also be affected. The Wilderness Society is threatening legal action, calling the recommendations an unprecedented assault on our parks and public lands.
