Gerlach, Jacqueline Gourevitch, Michelle Jaffé, Joyce Kozloff, Kathleen Kucka, Melissa Meyer, Luisa Rabbia, Jennifer Riley, Ursula von Rydingsvard, Kate Shepherd, Kiki Smith, Leslie Wayne. Curated by Stephanie Buhmann in Collaboration with Jennifer Riley. The group exhibition IN CONVERSATION is inspired by a series of interviews with female artists, which were conducted by the art historian Stephanie Buhmann between January 2013 and December 2015. Looking for an approach beyond the mainstream media coverage of the art market, Buhmann visited the artists in their studios. The conversations she conducted in these intimate spaces of artistic practices focus on process, philosophy, personal history, art historic contexts and aesthetics among others. IN CONVERSATION is sparked by these interviews and helps to illustrate them. Though all of the artists featured are based in New York, they are working in different media and styles, reflecting some of the eclectic concerns and methods found in the city’s contemporary art world today. 58th Annual Community Easter Egg Hunt in Columbus

The 58th Annual Community Easter Egg Hunt is Saturday morning April 15th at Donner Park between the shelter house and Donner Pool starting promptly @ 10:00 AM.  Youngsters up to the age of 8 will have special areas marked off to gather colorful plastic eggs filled with candy and trinkets.  Vehicles from the Columbus Fire Department, Columbus Police Department, and Bartholomew County Sheriff's Department will have vehicles on display for youngsters to view.  The Easter Bunny will hand out special treats to youngsters.  The Community Easter Egg Hunt is sponsored by Columbus Parks and Recreation Department, the Meridian Kiwanis Club, and News/Talk 10-10, WCSI. IN CASE OF INCLEMENT WEATHER, THE EVENT WILL BE HELD INSIDE DONNER CENTER.

Annual Wildflower Hike at Bedford’s Feldun Purdue Ag Center

Plans have been finalized for the annual White River RC&D Wildflower Hike on Saturday, April 15th. The popular event will be held at Feldun-Purdue Ag Center in Lawrence County. The wildflower hike will be led by Kay Yatskievych, author of Field Guide to Indiana Wildflowers and Carroll Ritter of Outdoor Connections. There are two identical hikes to accommodate the numbers of people who always want to come. A morning and afternoon session will be offered, each led by Yatskievych and Ritter. A maximum of 25 people are accepted for each session and the hikes fill up fast. In between the sessions, we encourage people from both hikes to join us for a picnic lunch. The comradery of eating together outdoors is always fun. Cookies and water are provided. A modest $15 fee is charged, $10 for students. Registration for the morning hike begins at 10:00 a.m. with the morning hike from 10:30 to 11:45. The afternoon hike will be from 12:15 to about 1:30. Feldun-Purdue Agricultural Center is at 1117...
