Exhibit presents work by architecture students from Iowa State University who designed buildings that prioritize sustainable and ethical habitation. Sites include Columbus’s Pleasant Grove neighborhood, and sites in Monroe County. The course was taught by Professor Kevin Lair. Sign-ups for Bartholomew County Girls Slow Pitch Softball Association (GSPSA) ages 6 thru 18, will be the the last weekend in February the 25th and the 26th , and again the first weekend in March the 4th and the 5th. Sign-ups will be at the American Legion in Columbus. Times will be 8am till 5pm on both Saturdays, and 9am till 5pm on both Sundays. Player fee will be $35.00 per player and Sponsor fee will be 150.00 per team. We are looking forward to another great season.Find out more »
The 10th annual SpayGhetti Dinner is February 26, 11a-7p at Tre-Bicchieri on Washington St., Columbus. C.A.R.E. (Community Animal Rescue Effort), a Columbus-based not-for-profit organization, is dedicated to supporting and funding the importance of spaying/neutering pets, as well as low-cost spay/neuter clinics in our community. The proceeds from the annual "SPAYghetti" dinner supports C.A.R.E.’s spay/neuter efforts in Columbus by going to C.A.R.E.s spay/neuter fund. Last year alone, C.A.R.E. was able to spay/neuter over 1,400 animals! The Columbus East High School Theatre Department presents The Good Doctor, by Neil Simon. This show is a comical romp through the brain of a writer plagued with writers block and an artistic temperament. The writer presents nine short stories of love, manipulation, maturation, and bodily fluids. The characters will make audiences laugh and recognize similarities in their own lives and personalities.
